I found this painting over a month ago. Over time, this painting has not grown on me much and seems a bit factory-type. It has some charm, but not much more. What do you think? It's signed on the front and stamped on the back by 'Russ Wagner Art'. I found various painters with that name, and i'm not exactly sure which one it is. I haven't found similar paintings by any of them.
This guy seems like it may be his signature? There's a contact in the drop menu. It doesn't hurt to ask..

thank you dav! i actually like it more now that i've seen some of his other work. i couldn't find it before.... ?
Hey Pete, the Painting that You have looks to be Oil or Acrylic, but I have one in Watercolor, an older Painting, but of a Car Ferry traveling from Oakland to San Francisco, with the Bay Bridge behind, it's unsigned but the Colors and style is much the same, I'll Post it just for a look-see! I think the framing on mine is 1960's +-! Bill :^)
OK, I Posted it! Bill :^)
Thank you Bill. i just took a look at your watercolor. i see how it reminded you of my painting.
The brushstrokes are bold and good on my painting. i'm trying to analyze what bothered me about it. i think it's fairly flat / 2 dimensional. i like when a painting draws me in and directs my eyes from left front to back right or vice versa. to me that feels more 3-dimensional or gives it depth and a lot more interest. i don't think i'm using the right vocabulary for it, but do you understand what i'm trying to say?
