This was a super buy on eBay AU, it was a reasonable price due to a flake chip near the base.
It is made from green glass with a thick iridescent casing that looks greyish - blue to green depending on the light.
The vase measures 15 cm tall, 6.5 cm across the widest point of the pentagonal top rim, & 6.5 cm across the base, which has a polished pontil mark. The glass is quite thick & heavy for the size of the item.
The simple, organic form features 10 swirling bumps around the upper part of the vase. The surface is pleasingly tactile.
I think this is an example of Kralik's Silberiris.
very nice
Very Interesting.
Not often seen here, I’d think, Marin ???
Fabulous vase..
Many thanks, kivatinitz!
Thanks also, Kevin - I agree, this is not a decor that turns up here often.
Would you believe that I did have another piece, a smaller vase than this, bought many years ago at Rozelle markets?! I had no idea what it was, & ended up selling it during my big clear out in 2015. It did have some rim chips, whereas at least chip on this is easily hidden from view...
Much appreciated, Penny!
very cool shapes, pentagon rim is awesome!
Many thanks, Jericho!

Thanks so much, Scott!
