This vase is 5.5" high x 8" long x 3" wide and weighs 3.5 lbs. It is signed on the bottom SEA/RS (SEA Glasbruk/Rune Strand). It is in the mail, so I do not have good images of the signature. This vase was designed and made by Rune Strand. It is an evolution of a double sunburst vase designed and made by Strand for Hovmantorp Sweden in the 1960s. This vase was made 1978-2000.

Still researching this designer/artist. He was a designer and maker of art glass for various Swedish glass makers.

Thanks for dav2no1 for the link and identification!

"Sea Glasbruk was created in Sweden in 1956 by Inge Samuelsson, Sven Ernstsson, and Tore Andersson, when they purchased the Ekeberga glassworks, just outside the town of Kosta. Ekeberga was founded in 1953. The name "SEA" comes from the initials of the three owners surnames. Designers as the factory include Goran Anneborg, Lena Engman, Bjorn Ramel, Renate Stock and Rune Strand. Sea Glasbruk is now part of Orrefors Kosta Boda AB. "

A bit more about Rune Strand:

"Rune Strand (1924-2000) belonged to a family of glassblowers and learned the art at an early age from his father. His family worked in both Sweden and Denmark, allowing the young artist to learn both glass making traditions. During the 1960s, he worked at Strombergshyttan. He also worked at Kosta for 10 years with Vicke Lindstrand. He was employed at Sea Glasbruk from 1978 to 2000. "
