We cannot seem to find accurate info. to be certain of year. Picked this up for $80. The metal on the stove was too far gone so we decided to repurpose it. It will be featured in our Tiny Cabin with our vintage theme. We kept as much original parts & character as possible to be useable. Even found the exact color paint for touch up and extended the top for counter space! Gutted out the frail metal burners & decided to use it for a sink. It was perfect! Could not find matching fuel handles so we decided to use old dresser door handles to keep the appearance. The oven was in good shape but not safely functionable. (Will use for food storage etc) The door will go back on but havent quite found the right brackets to open and close it. Any pointers or education on this stove would be most appreciative. (We plan to show pics and documents to add to the intrigue of curious people. It appears its a Sears from mid 30s by similar photos and styles. I absolutely love this, would someday love to have an original old stove vs the modern day ones. However quite pricey! Please leave me some feedback. If allowed - Im new here. Thx
When one is faced with something 'irrecoverable', the best option to hope for is a creative and respectful 'repurposing'. IMHO, you have succeeded at that in fine form -- good work, and welcome to CW S&T!
