Vintage Brace Collection and Garage Art

As promised, here's some of my vintage brace drills and other tools. Originally when the house was built in the mid 60s it had a single car garage. Later a double car garage was built on to it. The original garage header is a perfect place to display some tools.

Some of the things you've seen in previous posts, like the old mail box door, fire alarm box, egg beater drills, large snips, etc. There's also hay hooks, sheep shears, small level, a hook, an old shooting game(far left) and more. The steering wheel is from an early Datsun Z car, think it's worth some money now.

Years of traveling with my boss to dragstrips, I have lots of pictures, handouts, posters, pit passes, stickers and other miscellaneous stuff on the walls mixed between pictures of kid & grandkids and other collections.

The old garage had a little loft overhead. It's perfect for storing parts for my classic trucks. And for housing and displaying other stuff. You can see on the far right, one of Dad's old military trunks from 1950-60s. There's a .45 acp ammo box next to that and an old fire alarm box. In the center is an old coyote frame. This used to be covered in a moss plant and looked very cool. When we were younger my buddy and I had an apartment and we kept it on the balcony with a beware of dog sign and food bowl. I used to open the curtains in the winter and he'd be covered in snow and say, " Oh no! We forgot to let the dog in!" The girls would always freak out, because it looked real, but green! Good times..lol

Below the loft is my tool cage where I keep my tool box and more expensive tools & parts. You can see more hot rod and classic memorabilia hanging there.

Last picture shows a few of the many things hanging on the walls. Autographs of Mario Andretti, Tony Pedregon(NHRA funny car driver/announcer), and 2007 Playmate of the year Sara Jean Underwood(met her at the Seattle Roadster Show). Got more autographs hanging in there elsewhere in the garage, like my dads friend, NASA Shuttle crewmember. Some more old posters.

Dave, there is absolutely NOTHING I can yet see in any of your pics that I wouldn't welcome to my own collections. Now, if I only had a proper garage (or barn, or flea market, or museum, or whatever...) to otherwise display all my crap as well as you've done with yours.

      All my best, Tim

Thank you all for the comments. It's nice to finally have a place to display this suff. For a long time, they just sat in boxes. I have a lot more stuff hanging in the garage, but can only show so much in 4 pictures.
