Nice find from a local thrift shop. This cobalt blue glass vase with gold painted designs has a stamp marked Josephinenhütte on the bottom. While I know they produce stemware and decanters, the vase aspect I’m not too familiar with. I can’t seem to find much info on the company, other than they were Germany based. maybe from the 20’s or 30’s. The vase stands at 11” tall with a base of 4”. For its size it’s very heavy, made with extra heady glass. Weighs in at 1166 grams total. Great condition wise, some paint wear but no chipping or cracks.
A very, very nice find! They produced beautiful glass but they don't turn up very often. The mark on the one I have is simply the badge and crown, no name or circle.
Great Glass !!!
It's a beauty, shape, colour, size, and that enameling!!
Love it…
