This is a super "pair" of Czech glass vases found in a shop in Sydney's Inner West yesterday!
I was happy to find just one of these, especially at the price...the taller one was spotted first. Then, as I made my way through the rest of the shop, I saw the shorter one (even cheaper!).
So, I ended up with this related pair for modest sum.
Both vases are made from a single layer of translucent lavender blue glass with an iridescent finish. The taller vase measures 15 cm tall, 6.5 cm across the cut & polished top rim, & 10 cm across the base which comprises three applied clear strutted lags. The shorter, broader vase measures 10 cm tall, 8.7 cm across the cut & polished top rim, & 11.3 cm across the base which comprises four applied clear strutted legs.
Both in perfect condition with no chips or cracks.
Czech origin, no markings, which is consistent with the vast majority of Czech glass found in Australia.
The iridescent finish (possibly) suggests an earlier date than the same items seen with a Tango colouration. Perhaps late 1910s - early 1920s? They still have an Art Nouveau aesthetic in my opinion...

Gorgeous, just quietly shimmering there, stealing the show with stealth.

      Hallo IronLace,
Hello IronLace,
a similar vessel with a different collar was manufactured in 1928 under the PN 4045 by the Lötz company. The note on the glass pattern is "3-part foot, light blue with cristal" However, other companies have also made such vessels.
