Thank you Mackee & CW Tech Team for working out this issue, we regular CWers appreciate it very much. I realize this is a holiday week so will not expect much change til next week, at least we are still able to make new posts & friends can find us on our profile page.

      Happy Passover & upcoming Easter,
      Jenni

Thanks, great improvement but still a bit mixed up & no timeline. I've sent an email to CW Support to explain
    4. TallCakes TallCakes, 2 years ago
ditto: still serious issues. the first item on new post page is 5 years old. elimiating the age stamp by the page link doesn't help. same with comments page many newer comments still not showing...
    5. TallCakes TallCakes, 2 years ago
the 'All Activities' page only shows New Items beginning with this post; the second post is 5 years old and after that the age jumps around...
    6. mackeemackee, 2 years ago
All activites are supposed to show the latest update item. It could be all new, new comment, new like/love.
      That works, no?

I see now that Latest post not working as expected. That should show latest object in from newest to oldest.
    7. Newfld Newfld, 2 years ago
In All Activities, the latest posts if "loved" should show up with the last person who loved its name, i.e., if I hit the love button on a new fortapache post it should read, "loved by Newfld" and whether it is 2 minutes ago, 1 hour ago, etc. Comments if added after the love should be shown if they are the last movement on the post. And, if anyone loves an older post, you are free to mix that in with the new posts in the time order received

However, in the Latest post area, they are listed in current order received, you don't have to say they are loved or commented on, just how long ago the post was made

I'm not a tech person obviously but hope this helps somewhat

can't make much sense of much here any longer. looking at the New Posts page , shows an old post with a new comment first, then 2nd one is 5 years old with no new comments. Looking at the New Commetns page previously had a preview of the new comment and now has everything noted as new posts... getting too confusing to deal with...
    9. TallCakes TallCakes, 2 years ago
the New Comments page may be sorted by the latest comment but the notations with those images is the posting date. This previously has the comments info with the comments hover option. Seems like no one there knows how the site works...

Is there a template or guide for the original setup? The order of new and activity posts should be around somewhere, did Ben Marks leave any of his troubleshooting sources

When I click the "latest posts", it definitely is not the same as it was before.

Still all over the place for me..
    18. TallCakes TallCakes, 2 years ago
ditto; still a mess... just responded to a comment on a 9 year old post and it now shows up under new posts...
    19. Newfld Newfld, 2 years ago
Gotta be patient with the new mgmt I guess, and carefully separate the old posts from the new. TallCakes the wayback machine is a great idea, and I'm still hoping somewhere they can find a template of the regular layout or ask former employees for advice

Thanks again for patience and feedback, easter holidays now but we will roll out a fix for the "Latest posts" so that is controlled with only latest post in descending order after the holidays.

And after that we will look at the "notification bar".

      Thank you & Happy Easter!

Hooray! You fixed Latest Posts order, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

It was a bit of a jumble. Seems to be coming back gradually. Being absent a couple years I thought I was being given the boot on my return post...lol
    24. TallCakes TallCakes, 2 years ago
any chance of this site returning to 'normal'; for example "Unsolved Mysteries" is same as Latest Posts but does NOT include the mysteries requests...
    25. dav2no1 dav2no1, 2 years ago
And..recent comment list, doesn't show the last comment like it used to..
    26. Newfld Newfld, 2 years ago
TallCakes, Dave & all CW friends

We have to have some patience, there is a lot of data here for the CW Tech Team to sort out. I am at least grateful that Latest Posts has been corrected, and opening page All Activities shows either love/like or comment activity as most recent actions. If they are starting from scratch, it may be a "new normal" for us, let's hope for the best as there are several sections they have to work on. Let's be satisfied for now there is more organization than before, right

      With hope, Jenni

Just when things are looking up, something else goes awry.
      Should have used Norton.

      Ahhhh.... the "New Normal"
      Makes me feel kinda' dizzy....
      Best of Luck CW! :)

      Hi, mackeemackee. :-)

It looks like you've made some real progress.

I commented on a post rather recently, and it showed "New comment by: keramikos."

Collectors Weekly Show & Tell still isn't operating precisely the way it was a couple weeks ago, but it's dang close.

Thank you for all your hard work. I suspect that it hasn't been altogether pleasant for you.
    30. mackeemackee, 2 years ago
      Thanks Keramikos!

We are making progress to get this community the good service it deserves.

just curious; are further 'enhancements' forthcoming or is this the new normal???
