1950's Taylor Tot Trike.....I just picked up at antique store.....ugh...spending $ again! I went to check pricing on a booth and I came out w this. Bike is all original and complete except it's missing the hand grips and badge/decal on front stem. The bell and horn I have extra's I can put on. Other than that it's all there.
Even the wheels are complete, and no wobble that you would see on the rear wheels. Pedals are intact as well. Seat has two areas of stitching pulled.
As I've mentioned with previous postings on bikes....I don't restore, but I do clean them up still leaving the patina. I have my own secret method.
Perhaps I'll post on photo/s with these "before" and then post "after" pics.
thnx for looking!

I use oxalic acid in different strengths for amount of patina left.
When Oxalic Acid comes in contact with rust, a chemical reaction known as a double displacement reaction occurs. This changes the iron oxide into iron oxalate. Since iron oxalate is a water-soluble salt, it dissolves in water and easily rinses away.
