Another of the Soldiers of the World Series made by Formative Toys. I fear they made too many and went out of business around 2000. These were low cost and often low quality but this is one of the better ones. Looks like better hands and the accessories are in scale. and well detailed.
Looks like this figure is a Forward Observer as opposed to working with the actual artillery pieces. TGhe binoculars and radio give that away' He is out looking for targets. US artillery was very effective in WWII due to their effective methods of directing fire.
The figure's sergeant stripes are on the jacket but I think it looks better without the figure. I have extra rank stickers so I can make him a sergeant again.
