The information I've found is the Hollis St theater in Boston was closed and torn down in 1938. The Play was produced by GEORGE M. COHAN written by LEWIS B. ELY. Staged by MR SAM FORREST. Staring
Walter CONNOLLY, RUTH SHEPLEY, and FRANK ELLIOT. All famous in their own Right. But what bugs me a little bit is there was a 3 MOVIES made. In 1916 starring DOROTHY BEDNADD & GLEN WHITE then in 1931 CLARK GABLE with the same title SPORTING BLOOD and another in 1940 starring ROBERT YOUNG. All had different writers but the stories all were about horse racing?? Well I guess I'll try to find those movies on Turner. My poster was a PLAY. Oh I forgot to mention if you look close you will see BULLET HOLES in THE POSTER. MAYBE THE PLAY GOT BAD REVIEWS???? Maybe it was made in THE ROARING TWENTIES
I have a print titled, "Race for blood" 1890 by currier and ives...
