Decades ago Shell had 30,000 of these made for promotional use.
Basic movement (ebauche) is A. Schild 1052, finished by G-P.
They were supposedly lubricated with Shell motor oil,
which would be too viscous for the small pivots in a watch.
Cleaned and properly oiled, this one runs well and keeps good time.
spacemissing, Cool. :-)
A bit more about the lube:

The pocket watches were lubricated with Shell Oil… But That Didn't work, so the story goes. The watches were returned to Girard Perregaux, cleaned and lubricated with proper watch oils, and then distributed in any way to American Shell Gasoline and Oil dealers as an advertising gimmick.
