I was a late bloomer to the concert circuit. Say late 70's Supertramp, Genesis, and Elton John.

My first was 1973 Yes - fragile + Close to the edge
I could’ve seen Pink Floyd much earlier at
the warehouse in New Orleans for two dollars
      but I didn’t have 2 dollars

Two of my favorites for sure Vynil33rpm. 2 dollars wow ! Today more like 400 plus for today's concerts and no comparison talent wise !

That was the year someone stole the truck carrying Pink Floyd’s musical equipment and they said ,never come back to New Orleans
Just like the grateful dead busted down on Bourbon St.,
      Too close to New Orleans

I saw Richie Havens in High School. Took some organic mescaline and right when he started singing FREEDOM, I was out in the bushes yacking.. I'll never forgive myself!

Yes! Concerts today are just ridiculous! My Daughter and hubby saw Paul McCartney at $1200 a pop! He needs the money. Asked if I wanted to go. Said no, I'll wait for Ringo at Vino Robles ( outdoor winery) for $100.
Saw Ten Years After, Grand Funk Railroad & P.G. & E for $2.50 and the concert lasted for hours....
