My Great Grandparents Rocking Chair. Interested in history of it. Excellent condition. I am thinking it is pre 1900.

      Here's another..

      https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/258052-cochran-chair-co-rocking-chair-pre-1900

Not much history to be found..
"The company was formed through a partnership of three men in 1878 in Cochran, Indiana (Dearborn County). In 1879, one partner was bought out and the company’s name was changed to Cochran Chair Company. The city of Cochran at some point merged with the city of Aurora, which lies about a mile and half away. The merger took place, quite possibly by 1900 to 1901. Furniture made before 1900 will say “Made in Cochran” and furniture made after 1900 will say “Made in Aurora”."

Here’s the easy way to make your pictures post right side up:
Alter the dimensions of your pictures….just a small tweak will do. Then select “edit your post”….make changes by removing each of the sideways pictures and replace each one with it’s newly altered versions. By doing that, the pictures will show up oriented upright.
Hope that helps. Any questions? Just ask in the comments.
