A week ago, I found two cool pieces of Tango glass in a local op shop, so today I thought, why not try again? I retraced my steps almost exactly, right down to buying a croissant before going to the op shop just like I did last week! And I was rewarded by this elegant green vase - happy days!
It is made from two layers of cased glass, clear over pea green, with enamel decoration in black & white. The vase measures 20 cm tall, 6.2 across the top rim & 6 cm across the base.
It does have a flake chip to the top rim, but I could not reject it for that. Green Tango glass is quite uncommon.
Czech origin, circa 1920s - 30s.
That green is absolutely gorgeous-eye catching!!
Many thanks, dejaVu2!
