I rescued this guy from a Goodwill Outlet in Central Texas. If memory serves, my brother owned this very action figure when we were young. He has 'real hair' and a patent date of 1964. Sadly Joe has seen battle. He is missing both hands and his left arm is broken from the elbow. Any idea on transplant parts?
Cotswold collectibles sells replacement parts for vintage GI Joes including body parts. Yours is a Land Adventurer from the early 1970s. Hasbro called it Life Like Hair and Beard.
Thanks for the heads up Fortapache.
"life-like hair" :)
Body parts are much less expensive than I would have believed.
I would have thought it would cost an arm and a leg :o :)
I can get the hand and arm for about $10 + shipping.
