This stamped ashtray is about 5.5" in diameter and 1.75" high. It is a commemorative souvenir of one of the shrines at Nikko, Japan. Widely cited to be made of copper, but I think they may be copper plated? Many examples include a cat on them, typically resting at the top. I have wanted on of these for awhile but been waiting for a cheap one. I do not know who made this one.

This ashtray possibly depicts the Tosho-Gu shrine:

Update: Based on the weight and thickness of this ashtray, I think it may be stamped copper.
