This is made by a Japanese company. Not sure if they made a big splash, there seem to be dozens of companies making 1/6 scale action figures. Seems to be fairly well made although not everything seems to fit well. Could be due to age or what. Not quite sure how old it is. The back end of the MP-5 submachine gun falls off but then with figure this complex this is often the case. On the box it is says for ages 15 and up. There are some very neat features such as the clear magazines for the rifle. The are three different firearms all with removable magazines. Als note there is a kitten in every box.
If it comes with a free kitten, what's not to love?
Quite the intimidating action figure, "Halt, halt!" But the kitties make him a bit less formidable

Is 1/6 the 11 or 12 inch version ?

And Phil 12" figures are the official 1/6 but this one and most others tend to be a bit over 11" tall.
