Is the logo on the B for Ball an error? I can’t find any Ball logo that makes a circle as the B ends. Also how old is it. The seam comes straight up as it would be machine made but I don’t . Do I have a valuable jar?

      Hi, Babygirl27942165. :-)

That Ball logo image at Pinterest that dav2no1 linked appears to have its origins in a 1997 publication by somebody named Vivian Kath, and republished by her husband after her death:

      https://books.google.com/books/about/Granny_Kath_s_Kitchen.html?id=DhtWnQEACAAJ

      https://www.si.edu/object/archives/components/sova-nmah-ac-1061-ref83

I don't see any Ball logos anywhere that look exactly like yours. Additionally, that embossed patent information on the other side is a bit unusual, because it lists only the year, and not the month and day.

Just for drill, here is that patent:

      https://patents.google.com/patent/US22186/en

I'm definitely no expert; however, it's possible that what you have is not an authentic Ball jar.

You might try contacting one of the experts:

      Hi again, Babygirl27942165.

A better point of contact within the sha dot org site (be advised that he doesn't address questions of value, which is not an uncommon phenomenon):

A reference that gets cited a lot, but seems to have numerous versions/editions and authors is the Red Book of Fruit Jars:
