This GW Outlet rescue looks like an old gallon sized Little Brown Whiskey Jug that was dug up from a trash pit. It is unmarked. How old guys? Late 1800's? The colors are unique, I am not sure if it was burned in a fire or if it is the colors were originally this brilliant. Also, it looks like beavers gnawed on the top, to get themselves a nip. (picture 4) I can't explain that any better. It s still dusty and I am looking for a little guidance in preservation. It is old and broken, should I polish it, or is its crust its only real appeal. I think a coat of wax would bring this thing to a brilliant shine, or I should I leave it dusty , for the next owner to polish? Was it worth saving or not, Trash or treasure?
The colors remind me of some older Chinese brown pottery I've seen pictures of.
the colors are very nice - whether intended or not.
The colors are great, thanks
