This is a really interesting piece of Bohemian art glass that I won on eBay AU last week. It has a distinctive shape that was used by both Kralik & Rindskopf that I know of - but I'm not sure who made this particular example.
It is made from light pink satin glass that fades to clear at the base. There is a martele pattern as well.
The vase measures 23.2 cm tall, 4 cm across that top rim & 8.7 cm across the base. There is a slightly rough pontil mark on the base.
This type of shape is referred to as "Hyacinth", though I could not realistically see a hyacinth bulb fitting in to that tightly incurved top. It is more like a small rose bowl set on top of a conical body. The classic hyacinth vase has a cupped top, but more open. Anyway, that's my 2 cents worth!
It has to be Bohemian but I have not decided whether it is Kralik or Rindskopf.
Bohemian origin, circa 1900, in perfect condition.

Beautiful! It may not take a hyacinth but it would take a crocus. Michelle once said that about a similar piece I posted.

Thanks also, kivatinitz - in the photos there is a slightly greenish tint, maybe from a reflection...in real life the lower part of the vase is clear. Has been tested with UV as well with no response.
