Hello everyone!!
Continuing with the Kenneth Grahame book posts is "First Whisper Of The Wind In The Willows". This book was published and printed in 1945 and this is a first edition. The book is essentially how the Wind In The Willows came to be. However, I do have a book, published in 1908 called My Dearest Mouse that also is a series of letters that Kenneth Grahame wrote for his young son, whom he fondly called "Mouse". That book is basically the first book and beginning of how the Wind In The Willows came to be. This book is in what would be considered very fine condition.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
Scott
Super to have this first edition, kudos Scott
jscott0363, Awe-inspiring.
I had no idea that there was so much background to the much beloved "The Wind in the Willows."
One of my pandemic projects was documenting all of my books (after which I did a purge). My sole TWitW book is a reprint from 1960:

Jenni,
Thanks very much!! It’s tough to find first editions at any reasonable price. I landed this one at an amazing price!!
keramikos,
Thanks so much!! The most valuable book I own is a 1908 Wind In The Willows second edition, printed in England, in very good condition. I’ll post that one soon.
