Hello everyone!!
I haven’t posted any of my cast iron pigs for a few months. But, here’s a quite large vintage Danish Protest cast iron pig. He is not a piggy bank, but was probably used as a butcher shop window display. This one has really nice tight seams, something you won’t see on cheap reproductions. He is a two piece design held together with two bolts. In regards to his colors, he’s a bit different than the typical ones you see. I'm not sure how old this fellow is, but more than likely early to mid 20th century. He measures 17 3/4” long, 8 1/2” tall and 7” wide, He weighs in at 22lbs!!
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
