I have an issue with chairs. Got this little one last week for all of £8. Not sure if its Victorian or Edwardian ..Whichever, it has a new home in Wales

I would wonder if it was 1950's or newer, since a lot of British furniture is also made by companies who only make reproductions. This one does have the wonderful klismos back legs on it. Otherwise a beautiful chair !~

We have a set of four of this exact same chair. My partner purchased them in the 1980s as 19th century "music room" chairs. I don't know about the accuracy of that particular description as I'm a glass collector not a furniture expert, but they are definitely Victorian era & not reproduction.
Ours have genuine signs of wear & use commensurate with a Victorian date. The caning was replaced at the time of purchase on three of the chairs as needed, & one still retains the original, worn caning.

Thank you both for taking the time to reply. I'm happy that they are genuinely older chairs, by the general look and feel of them. I think the cane has been replaced on my example too. A friend of mine who 'does' furniture said it may also be called a Ladies chair? ...Note to self .... Stop buying random chairs...if I can
