I Found This Today March 10, 2024, at the Flea Market a 3 1/2" Bronze, Good Luck at Sea Medallion, that could be attached to the Vessel, through the holes at the center of each side of the 5/16" thick Medallion. It looks to be Jewish, with an Anchor, and different, Jewish Symbols, Hebrew writing, on the front, with a paper label on the back that reads: "Good Luck At Sea" and on the next line For sailors and yachtmens to insure a safe journey. etched into the bronze an s over an I 0016, and under 511 or S11 The Bronze Medallion, was in a cardboard box, that fit it, and written on top GFA Gallery of Functional Art and address in Santa Monica, CA and phone and fax numbers, but no email, or web-address, so probably from the 1970's- 1980's. A search, came up with the Gallery, but nothing similar to this Medallion! :^D
Thank You for looking all comments. or information, on this post, are welcome, and appreciated. Bill :^)
Very cool flea market find Bill!!
Neat find. I'm sure there's some old yacht clubs in that area that might be able to tell you?
