Hello I’ve just rediscovered this figure that I think is a mud man, I think that’s what they are called , looks very old but has bits of damage, it seems to have some sort of mark on the bottom, I haven’t got a clue what it means
this is an NI-REN in english called mudmen Shiwan = the district not the numeral
You have to define old IMO when you state it is very old you mean Song dynasty between 960-1279
and when you mean quite old its Guanghu period period
, well there is no embossing in the NI_REN before 1890,
and in IMO but i am not sure , we need the REAL tonality of cerulean blue
personnaly i think it is early republic period, well at least we got the inside dimpling of the pupil as characteristic , but the grit is strange
