Hello everyone!!
The last of my Lap Desks posts. This one would be the absolute oldest of all my portable desks. This one was made by J.H. Farthing of London, England in the early part of the 19th century. J.H. Farthing was a maker of writing desks, dressing boxes and work boxes from 1806 thru 1836. This one is still in amazing condition and quite elaborate compared to other lap desks. It has hand made brass handles on each end and a slide out drawer on the side. The desk measures 16" long, 9 3/4" deep and 6" tall.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

Jenni,
Thank you!! The best part is that I landed this desk for less than $100.
