Hancock gasoline was a Southern Calif Company that was from LaBrea near the famous LaBrea tar pits in LA County. I remember seeing oil derricks everywhere in that area as a kid growing up. There was also a famous Farmers Market near the Tar Pits. Hancock sold out to Signal Oil in about 1958, which was located in the El Segundo area on Signal Hill. Both Hancock and Signal Signs are very hard to find these days
Outstanding display!!
