This is a super little vase that I spotted on eBay AU!
It really caught my attention as I've not seen this unusual decor before. Also, it's small & easy to fit in a cabinet.
The vase is made from a single layer of green glass (no UV glow) with an iridescent finish. It has an allover pattern that I would describe as resembling ice crystals. The repeating shapes are irregular & fit together in an organic fashion. Very detailed & quirky, & perfect for reflecting the iridescence.
It measures 9 cm tall.
Bohemian origin, circa 1900.
Unsure of a maker as I've been unable to find anything like this pattern despite quite a lot of searching. Maybe Kralik?
I've never seen that pattern either. On the other hand Kralik did extend relief patterns on to the base. So, a wait and see item, but easy on the eye in the meantime.
Many thanks, Peggy! Was looking forward to hearing your opinion on this one!
