This is the grey wheel vesion of this model. The model was first introduced 1n 1959 and sold through 1966 which was a run of 8 years. That is pretty long for that time. Anyway as I said this the grey wheel version which was the early version but I don't know when they switched to black wheels. It is hard to tell from the photo, photo 4 that is, but the black wheel version is a slightly darker shade of red.
As this is an older model it has no glass or interior. Also it has a painted grill, bumper and headlights. Later models would have those parts built into the baseplate so there was no need for detail painting..
It has been over a month since I have been able to get to one of my vintage fleas but it was a day of huge finds. Exciting Taxidermy Tuesday coming up!
