Another from my very successful Sunday of flea finds. This is a Bachmann Spectrum model which is one of their high end model. This one is painted as an AT&SF (Santa Fe) in a zebra stripe scheme. This would be for use in a train yard although this is a road switcher which means it did both switching and mainline service. Back in those days this would be mostly mainline as they used specialized switch engines. Back then being the 50s.
The model is of a Fairbanks-Morse H16-44 aka the Baby Trainmaster. I have a model of the full sized Trainmaster behind it in the photos. The FM locomotives were the 4th biggest manufacturer of diesel locomotives and they faded away in the 1960s. Always nice to see one at a museum.
