I found this key in France where I live. I know there are many of these keys but this is a bit different and I cant find another with this type of top design. It has the words FRANCIA along the shaft. It is 8" long x 2.5" height x 0.75" width. It weighs 301 gram. I have trawled the net looking for something similar to no avail. Just wondered if there are any key collectors out there that may be able to help. Would like an idea of it's age? Thanks in advance

      This is a corkscrew.

Definitely not a corkscrew this one. I thought that too but nowhere does it come apart. It is solid.

Ok..you're sure it's not rusted shut? Because it has same markings and weight as other known examples.

Well turns out you were all right. After some close examination and some oil it did come apart and it is a corkscrew. I would never have known it is so hidden when it is closed. Remarkable craftsmanship. Thank you
