      A wild guess would be around WW2 but many of these items have been faked.

      Sadly, Apache, that is true. A good determination of authencity rests in the pin securer. I'm not sure of what makes one authentic via the pin securer, but it can verified by a reputable dealer or on the net.

      The one on the left is missing his swastika.

      I looked on the internet and both brooches I saw had tighter edges. Also the eagle's had more expression than yours.

      I don't know what that means in terms of authenticity.
