Here's a neat little vase I picked up in a local op shop today. Funnily enough, I'd seen it in the window a few weeks ago, & when I went back to get it a day later, it was (seemingly) gone. After popping in today, I found it in a different spot!
Anyway, it is made from an inner layer of brownish spatter glass with an intense, bronze metallic iridescent finish, with some spatter & peloton like threads in white & blue. It measures 6 cm tall, 4.2 cm across the top rim, & 3 cm across the base. Despite the diminutive size it is surprisingly heavy.
I guess this a modern studio production, possibly 1980s or 1990s. No maker's mark that I can detect. Could be Australian or maybe from overseas. It works in well with my Art Nouveau glass & also doesn't take up much space!
