Whoever is posting this is a dishonest person and I would not do business with them or anyone who they represent.

This has been posted twice and I have reported both posts as inappropriate.

What is going on with Barneby's support of this site? There are numerous unresolved technical issues.

I suspect CW S&T is a ghost ship.

I've used that contact interface twice in recent months to request that 'orphan' vintage sewing machine posts (posts that aren't catagorized, and thus can't be found by sorting on catagory) be catagorized appropriately, and I've gotten bupkes. No answer, no action.

I could understand the lack of response on those requests if I thought the administrator was working furiously on a technical problem like that "bad fatal error" people frequently get when they try to open a post, but somehow I doubt it. We've had that "bad fatal error"problem for months now.

I just noticed that there's an actual email address at Barnebys "Contact Us" page (not to be confused with the interface at CW S&T), so I suppose that could be tried:

I reported this as spam the other day (I think there have been a couple of posts from this person). I too have been getting those annoying bad fatal error messages for a while, thought it was just me!

      That's putting it politely.

I feel like Jimmy Stewart's character in "Bell, Book, and Candle," when against his own better judgment, he visits Hermione Gingold the witch who has a pet parrot that tells him the truth:

      "Parrot: You're a fool! Who's a fool? You're a fool!"

      https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051406/quotes/

I got an almost immediate auto-reply informing me (politely, of course) that Barnebys strives to address email inquiries during business hours, Monday - Friday.

I'm afraid it can't be done, except by the CW S&T admin, and they seem non-responsive.

FYI, this past Friday, I sent an email inquiry to Barnebys, not specifically about this rule-breaking spammer, but about whether anybody is in fact administering CW S&T nowadays, because I personally have requested help on two different occasions in recent months, and gotten no reply/action.

I got an automated reply to the effect that Barnebys "strives" to address all inquiries during business hours Monday through Friday.

Well, given that it was Friday afternoon, I wasn't surprised to get no more than a canned auto-reply, but it's now close to seventy-two hours later, and I still have bupkes.

We do appear to be on a ghost ship. :-(

Yes it appears to be a Ghost Ship? Jack Sparrow is waiting for the KRAKEN to devour it all.

      In case anybody was wondering:

I checked my email today, and still have bupkes from Barnebys.
    19. keramikos, 1 month ago
For anybody who's morbidly interested: it's been a solid week now, and the only response I've gotten from Barnebys was that initial auto-reply.

So yeah, Collectors Weekly Show & Tell is definitely not a *cough* priority with Barnebys.

My guess would be that Barneby's IT department or web master lacks the technical skills to maintain this web site. It is fairly complex and bits of it have been breaking over time, since I joined up. It may be that whomever originally created the site did not adequately document how it works and the Barneby guys don't have the skills needed to reverse engineer it, or, it is very well documented and the Barnaby guys don't have the skills needed to RTFM (read the frigging manual).
