Very cool item picked today. It looks like an early 19th Century stoneware teapot with a manganese-lead glaze with a black and brown coloring. The teapot does not bare any markings. It looks similar to those made by Thomas Crafts of Whately, Massachusetts. This pieces measures 7 1/2” from spout tip to the handle, 5” from top to bottom, and 5” wide. Weighs 1lb 11oz. Great overall condition. Bottom glaze has more crackling and a hairline crack, and the inside of the lid has a little chip.
