This bowl is the twin of the larger 10.5” bowl previously listed. Only difference is the center artwork. This scene shows a man and a boy playing a game called “Go”. They seem to be gathering a crowd as they’re being observed by onlookers as they play. The outside of the bowl has the same three drawn Ho-Ho birds as the larger one. Same marking of a gold painted “Kutani” marking inside a red circle. This bowl measures 9 1/2” Diameter and stands at 4 1/4”H. Very nice to have the pair!

largely the same conclusion as the alleged expert hikaru takahashi
as in a generic signed piece the reverse ground color application is the same as the scene colour application and the scene is atypical by sequence it is spurious

the density of the generic mark, makes it less likely to be meijji , well that,s all i can do, and now i stop , for the simple reason i am just a rooky , and i got the feeling i have to do science and i lack the time AND THE SKILL
