This series is based on the cars seen in Hot Rod magazine. But they all seem to have those large hood scoops. I don't recall those from the vintage days of drag racing. The engine is highly detailed but it seems like something should be sticking up into that hood scoop. From what I have seen these are really fast.
This is of course the famed 57 Chevrolet Bel Air. Every car show has to have at least one.
