Here in Australia tea is becoming more and more popular as an alternative to coffee for the caffeine hit. Silver is a passion of mine and I was pleased to buy this tea strainer at the Rozelle markets a year ago at a reasonable price.
I like the way that this one is pierced in an eight pointed star pattern: symbolizing balance, harmony, cosmic order & nature’s rule.
The maker of this piece of Danish silver is Christian F Heise who worked from 1904 to 1932. Beneath the handle are his initials and the Three Tower mark of Danish silver & 29. The three Tower mark of Copenhage became the Danish standsard silver mark for all cities in 1893. It guarantees a purity of 826/1000. Each year has a slightly different design of the three towers.
Oooooo....I so need, one of those!!! Super find!!
Many thanks stainedglass and my mate BELLIN68 too!
I love wide apron and delicate pierced pattern,....it's a beautiful design,
and being a hand-made piece makes it even more wonderful.
Many thanks Hunter, packrat-place, michelleamieux & Budek too!
Sipping on a cuppa while looking at this!
Very handy things tea strainers they save having a mouth full of tea leaves ...but not so good for telling fortunes!!

This is lovely and useful!
Been working a ton, so apparently missed it when you posted.
Hope you are doing well, V. We are having unusually warm weather here so we have our bicycles out. My son, five, does NOT want his training wheels off. Rather than ruin his love for the bike, we are going to give him some time. Soon enough his friends will tease him to taking them off.
The sun feels wonderful, hope it is still shining down by you.
Hi Amber, many thanks for the "lurv".
It's the opposite today in Sydney, it's been pouring all morning. I'm off to see my Mum in hospital this morning so I'll be trying out an umbrella and rugging up. In WA there's a cyclone arriving in Port Hedland area: Global Warming = Global Strange Weather. Margaret Whitlam died overnight. A great Ozzie woman!
Happy St Patrick's Day!
