Picked this up at a gun show about 1960 and used it ever since as i still collect & shoot old muzzle loaders.Marked on back neck,"made in england","dixon & sons". Can't seem to find if it is orig. or mid 1900's repro.. It is correct for 1851 mod. Colt navy. Does anybody know?
Still use it to prime the pans on my pictured big-mouth toys.
Is it original ? Really great piece regardless.
If it says "Made in England" I would think it is a reproduction from mid 1900's.
No answer huh ...as to when,. who,. what ..well its only been 9 yeas ... '=P someone might see it... my niece 's boyfriend bends nails for a living and found a couple of powder flask in a wall in a house he was remodeling ....wow huh . later
Well if it says MADE IN then it sure isn't an antique because it is post tariff act.
I've had this since the late '50's and assumed it was not original. Just picked up an original with adjustable charge nozzle that I will post soon.
looking forward to that BB.... fhrjr2we know what its not,.. but not what it is lol..
