Bought a 1970 Triumph Tiger 500 in 1970 @ age 16, then in 1971 bought a 70 Chevelle 350 300hp and in 76 bought a new chevy van as editor of Canadian Rods and vans magazine..sold the Triumph..Mom drove the Chevelle. married in 1985 and complained about selling the triumph, re-located in 1997 and finally got it back in 2010--the chevelle was sold and wrecked weeks after it was sold RIP my dear old Chevelle

I was an early dirt bike rider back in the 50s in Calif when we "invented" dirt bikes by stripping down British bikes and converting sprockets suspension, tires, bars etc to make them lighter, faster, more rugged for the deserts of Calif. haven't things changed since then! I rode a 500cc Matchless "dirt bike" in those days & remember seeing Honda introduce their first import cycles into the USA! Cheap pressed framed junk bikes! Has that ever changed too!
