Here's a few pics of my new addition. This gem has just turned 50,000 original miles, all orig. drive train, interior, body, ! repaint 12 years ago in original Arctic White. Original build sheet from G.M Canada has been obtained, as they kept better and more accurate records than G.M U.S. This car was built in Oshawa, Ont, shipped to Buffalo, 1st owner was a local woman who traded it back after 1 year(too much HP!!), second owner had it till '80, third owner owned it till last Oct.! Now it's back in Canada,it's come full circle!
Cheers all, have a great week-end!!

Nice car pickr, if I ever get to Ontario I want to go cruising, even if it is just around the block.

pickr I have no photo of my lilac one . I wish I did . I loved that car but if we ever did take a photo it is long gone , But I still have my 8 track and lots of cassettes to play in yours . I bought the car used from a girlfriend who got it new . If I remember it may have been a special order on color . But is was a unique color and so girley :-)
    8. pickrknows pickrknows, 12 years ago

Awesome car pickrknows! The Chevelle was always my favorite automobile. I had a 69 Malibu with a 396 in it when I was younger. I have wished many times that I had kept it, but for some reason it seemed to always keep me in trouble! LOL. These days they are out of my price range. I have a N.A.D.A. price guide from January 1971, but only shows cars thru the 1970 model year. I don't believe there would have been that big of a price change in those 2 years. I thought these prices were amazing. Wish I could go back in time with todays money and buy a few of these. The 1970 2-door Malibu- 6 hard top sport coupe average retail was 2,550 US dollars! The V8 version was 2700.00 US. The regular Chevelle V8 was 2500.00 US. The SS 396 option was a factory add-on that was only 225.00 extra! The factory air conditoning option was 325.00, 100.00 more than the SS package. Sorry I took up so much space, but I thought this was some pretty neat information, on an awesome car. Thanks for sharing your car, Thrifty

Thanks for the info Thrifty, I know it's amazing when you look back at what they cost new compared to now. Never too late to jump in though I figured, as they were always a fav. of mine too!!

Wow, don't know how I missed this SS! Sweet ride Bernie! Guess what? I'm about to buy my brother's 1965 Chevy C10, he had dropped a 1965 Impala 283 engine in it about 3 years ago and it runs like a scalded dog! Fully rebuilt motor, he lowered the truck about 6 inches overall too. Hope to have here in a couple weeks.
    21. pickrknows pickrknows, 12 years ago
Race for pinks? Congrats on finally getting him to part with her, that's a sweet truck the '65!! Can't wait to see it!

I think you'd win that one Michael, waay better power to weight in the vette! I have'nt even really had a good run in this yet as it was crappy weather since I got it, and now that it's nice I'm too busy! Be fun to get out soon & see what it will actually do.
