Thank you maryh1956. I was lucky enough to buy them for what I felt was a more than reasonable price. I loved the look of them and their condition, maker and age certainly helped seal the deal.
Thank you hoth for your replies. I had already read that article Efesgirl and I think it means without the stars is from around 1878 - 1900 and with stars 1900 onwards. Found another reference confirm...
