I have a similar trunk. How did your husband clean it to get the tin to shine?
What did you clean yours with so that you got it down to the shiny tin? Beautiful trunk!
When opening the trunk, see the 4 th picture, on the inside the tin is covered in yellow and silver. I thought this might be gilded....gold leaf. I don't want to ruin the gold leaf if so.
