I did find a few pictures of grenades that are similar, but, they didn't have the handle looking part and the lip around the whole was not on the grenade. Also the grenades were about an inch smaller ...
That's a possibility I never thought of.
Found a little more info, X designates Tenth Army who served in Italy in WWII. 360/1 must be a unit designation.
The larger box is the actual cigarette holder, the smaller item is the ashtray. There were 2 of them and one was broken in half when I got it.
