    Hello Again,
These 2 gems came from the estate sale that I mentioned in the last posting. It was the last hour of the sale, so I got a group of items together ,( including a few other lovely plates, some blue glass pieces, 2 great books, and assorted other pieces ), and brought them to the money taker,..... 3.00 for the lot!
I think these are just beautiful. Each hand-painted with color differences between the 2, and all the more beautiful for it. They look quite old, are unmarked, measure about 8" in diameter.
Any loves or information about them would be greatly appreciated.
    Happy Palm Sunday!
    Tony.

Lovely... handrawn rather transfer print...you can see from these plates where the English Potters got their inspiration for the Willow pattern, that was around 1780, so assume that this is around your date from my view of the world...are there any strokes or indentations, I know you said it's unmarked but look on the back where the dip from the indentation rim is..

anne did well i do think it,s qianlong around 1780, most qianlong blue -white is nickle and dime and rather boring
actually the rim looks dirty, but is probably the fading of the so called qianlong brown brown rim or a type of slight gilt rimming

actually we got a few benifits here,

normally in the hollow part of the slope of the bowl we have the rather simple
1 curvilileair cobblestone design , nor french lily design nor stylized french lily system , nor decapitated ruyi

actually we got a whole broad stroke in the slope with opposite quadrants 4 scrolling lotus or scrolling peas and 4 diamonds opposite diamonds

standing on their own is not that but in combination with is strange

Japanese like this combination , assumption i t could might be intended for the Japanese market

contrast is reasonable ( cobalt versus safir ) disitinction could be better

reasonable stuff ( amongst the Kanton i mean) not too static , not so much blurring , in this case rimfitting is not a real problem here comes with the turf , it is not dominating i think you did well

this is better than nickle and dime stuff , bu it won,t make rich
