There were actually several assorted iron skillets found in that 'cabinet w/bad plumbing' along with the dutch oven pot -- this one being the only one of them really appearing to be "vintage/old". (the others being unmarked and likely much more contemporary, from Harbor Freight or somesuch?)
It is about 8-1/4" round, 12-1/2" long with the handle. It has obviously suffered greatly during who-knows-how-many years spent *not* on a stovetop frying bacon...believe it or not the pics here are *after* I took a wire brush to it to scrub away the worst of the rust it had on it when recovered. It is marked with a number "5" on its underside near its edge, also what might (?) be a letter "C" above that.
I can't say I have any intention to try to restore the poor thing to active duty (too much work, and I've already got other iron skillets I *can* use?!) but I kinda think it might be a 'keeper' anyway...? ;-) :-) :-)
THANKS vetraio50, Newfld, Watchsearcher, fortapache, & Irishcollector. for the <love it>s!! This skillet, too, is still trying desperately to make me wanna actually clean it up and be able to add it to my "already usable' iron skillet pile in the cabinet...we'll see how long it might (or not) take me to get around to that job...
<grin>
