This may or may not to Coca-Cola memorabilia although I am sure it has crossover appeal with Matchbox and Coke collectors. Not sold as Coke memorabilia, it doesn't have the little R.
The model was sold from 1960 through 1965 but at some point they switched from grey wheels to black wheels. It was probably late in the run as the grey wheels are not uncommon.
Got to cut it short tonight. Hopefully full length descriptions will return soon.

fortapache, That's pretty cool, and I don't even collect any of those catagories. :-)

I find a truck of that design pretty interesting. I'm sure it did make things easier for deliverers, but I wonder if theft was a problem.

Here's a 1936 Ford 1.5 ton Coca Cola delivery truck:

This looks like the same one, but with a lot of detail about the restoration:

So, a Ford model 51? A casual search reveals that to have been a pretty versatile truck, used variously as a flatbed, a "tipper" (a dump truck?), a wrecker, and what have you.

I was so busy focusing on the payload end of the truck, that I failed to notice that the front-end is rather snub-nosed, so it isn't a Ford model 51, is it?

Thank you very much keramikos. The maker is Karrier of the actual version. They went out of business in 1970

I am not sure about theft in 1936, was that still depression era? might have been stolen just to survive - anyway that is a whole new subject.

Brian - This sure is a nice truck - the bottles will be difficult, I will keep my eye out for them! Lori

okay never mind, I see that the 1936 has changed and still the depression is another issue. LOL

      fortapache, OK, thanks. :-)

I wanted to find the real thing, but those dang Matchbox models are so popular that they crowd out everthing else on an Internet search.

A Popular Model Now Available as a Tractor for Use with Fixed or Detachable Semi-trailing Units SINCE its introduction in 1032 [sic], the Karrier Bantam 2-tonner has proved a valuable unit in the localized-transport field, and railway companies and municipalities, in particular, have employed it with much success for general utility work in urban areas.

RichmondLori, Sorry, it was me that led you astray with my 1936 Ford links.

I haven't been able to find a picture of a Karrier Bantam tricked out as a Coca Cola carrier, except the Matchbox toy model.

Oh, and 1936 definitely was during the Great Depression.

Thank you very much Lori. I think everything is straightened out now.
