Hello folks, I believe this is something a carpenter would use, but what is it called? Any help I would be grateful.
I've added more photos. That Flintstone record player was very clever. My guess it worked best on Rolling Stones LP's!
Hey thblues, is that the only photo that You have of it? You can post 4 Photos, all 4 sides would be nice and some measurements too! Thanks for the Post it looks like some type of Scribe, but I can't see if, or how, it's adjustable! Bill :^)
i think this is the arm and needle to fred flintstone's record player.
This might help!

Looks like a circle scribe or cutter? As Bill said, more pictured would help a lot.
Now, ho2cultcha, don't be silly.
Everybody knows that Fred Flintstone's record player had a bird and a monkey:

I suspect billretirecoll and dave2no1 might be onto something.
New pictures have been uploaded.
Carriage makers used a range of routers of similar from.
It could also be some variety of specialized plane/cutter for use in making musical instruments. (or the keyboards thereof, or ??) I wish I could help further, but that's all I gots for this instant... :-)
Thank you everyone for your help.
