World War Two Ear Camera Box

This is my contribution to the family gift exchange. Hopefully it is not too bizarre. I think we are supposed to get something worthwhile instead of a white elephant gift. One year I bought coprolite aka dinosaur poop which the original recipient did not like but someone else eagerly traded for it. OK on to this thing.
It is supposedly a WWII camera case which is probably correct. The construction seems to be right although usually the military likes olive drab but the government also likes seafoam green. Anyway I think it looks nice. Has a shabby chic look plus some attractive hardware especially the hinges on the back.
This box has several uses. You can put stuff in it, or both. We shall see how it goes over in 2 days.
